We were given the order to rewire ASCs factory, including installing a new main distribution board & local distribution around the factory we also installed a controller for there lights.  This controller had to switch over 70 400W metal halide light fittings + 8 2kW Infra-red heaters.  To achieve this we installed a controller which had a PLC & touch screen, with this we could switch the lights on & off automatically with the PLCs time clock but be able to override any of the settings if needed.  In storage areas where the light level doesn't need to be as bright we installed light level sensors, when the sun light was bright the controller would automatically switch off lights in these areas to save power.  The heaters controlled by this panel were controlled via PIR sensors which would switch the heaters off if the machine operator wasn't near the heater.
